Ich hatte die Gelegenheit, eine Flasche des 2001 Viña Tondonia Reserva 10 Jahre nach seiner Veröffentlichung zu verkosten, und der Wein hat sich wunderbar und recht langsam entwickelt - zumindest ist das bei diesen Flaschen der Fall, die all die Jahre im Weingut aufbewahrt wurden. Er ist streng und elegant, mit Ausgewogenheit und Konzentration, geschliffenen Tanninen und einer kalkhaltigen Textur, lang anhaltend und trocken. Er ist lebendig und dürfte sich in der Flasche noch eine ganze Weile weiterentwickeln.
