The 2008 Aguilera is the new name for the wine formerly known as 2/3. Pure Carinena from old vines planted on slate soils, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in 500-liter oak barrels, it is very balsamic with notes of mint, eucalyptus, smoked peat, cola, cured meat and malt over a core of ripe black fruit. The full-bodied palate reveals a fresh strike of acidity that really lifts the wine and supports the abundant tannins. A powerful, showy Carinena from Priorat that is ready to drink now and should age with style. Drink 2014-2022.
