Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Pancrudo is pure Garnacha from the village of Badarán, produced exactly in the same way as 2016. It's from a riper and easier year that delivered round-ish wines with a touch more alcohol and less acidity, but still vibrant and elegant. This is a more approachable version of an extreme zone. This is more in the style of 2015, juicier and a little headier than 2016, combining good ripeness with balance and integrated oak. The palate is juicy and elegant, with chalky, fine-grained tannins. 5,527 bottles and 200 magnums were filled in February 2019.
