Purulio es una bodega de vinos naturales fundada por Torcuato Huertas Tomás en Marchal, Granada. Este viticultor español, que ha dedicado toda su vida al campo, cuenta con tres hectáreas que él mismo ha plantado en la cara norte de Sierra Nevada. Sus vinos andaluces transmiten terruño, respeto por la naturaleza y paciencia. Esta es su ley: sin prisas, “porque son muy malas consejeras”.
Viñedos de Purulio
Siempre se ha dedicado al cultivo de olivos y frutales, hasta principios de los 80, cuando descubrió su pasión vinícola. Inspirado por el vino joven que solía hacer su bisabuelo, Torcuato no solo siguió, sino que mejoró esta tradición familiar.
Torcuato Huertas Tomás cuenta con tres hectáreas de viñedos plantadas con 21 varietales en tres diferentes localizaciones. Todos están situados al sur de España, en el Valle de Alhama, concretamente a 900 y 1100 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Vinos de Purulio
Las uvas que utiliza son Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot y Garnacha. Todas se cosechan por separado, despalillado, maceración de 5 a 7 días y prensado directo. Fermentado en acero inoxidable y envejecido en barrica de roble francés, 225 litros, durante un año.
Sus vinos naturales andaluces representan el contacto directo con la tierra, ejecutando la mínima intervención. Entre los más destacados están Purulio 2017, Minotaureo y Purulio Blanco 2019. Son de fermentación espontánea, sin clarificar, sin filtrar, sin azufre añadido y aptos para veganos. En cada sorbo se denota su interés por probar nuevas variedades y su búsqueda (alcanzada) por demostrar autenticidad en cada una de sus botellas.
