Al igual que con el de Viña Real, hacía tiempo que no probaba el Tempranillo más moderno criado en roble francés nuevo de CVNE, y el vino que sale ahora es también de 2016, así que probé el Real de Asúa 2016. Este vino se elaboró por primera vez en 1999 y maduró en barrica durante 18 meses. Tiene una mezcla de Rioja moderno y tradicional, pero aquí encuentro más taninos y un poco más de influencia de la crianza en barrica. Obviamente es joven y debería mejorar con un poco más de tiempo en botella. Se llenaron 3000 botellas en enero de 2018.
