This talented globetrotter, sommelier at Bar Brutal in Barcelona, and later winemaker, began making her own wines from a small rented vineyard and farmhouse in the Garraf National Park in 2014. She took the utmost care of those vines, with which she began to make some tiny productions. Today she is one of the most exciting winemakers to watch.
The vineyards of Nuria Renom
Nuria is a nomadic winemaker, and while looking for her own space to harvest, she settles in the winery of friends Anna and Toni from La Salada. Not being settled in one place opens the door to working with some of the best winemakers in the Alt Penedès and the surrounding hills.A small but powerful producer, it makes a difference with every step it takes. Each year, it acquires tiny quantities of grapes directly from the people with whom it collaborates. In this way, she manages to produce her wines: some of them reach only 100 bottles. Some of the grapes she uses for the creation of her remarkable wines are Macabeo, Moscatel and Merlot.

The wines reflect the personality and intention of their creator. They are able to perfectly express the climate of the Garraf region and its soils. Among its bottles, we can find the ancestral and crazy wine, Nuria Renom La Maca Beu, the Muscat, Nuria Renom La Mosca and the sparkling, Nuria Renom Everything But The Kitchen Sink, all from 2019.The winemaking is done from their spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and bottle aging. They are wild, saline and transparent wines, but above all, they are very personal, pure and expressive. Like Nuria Renom.
