Buy Wine from Naranjuez
Naranjuez is Antonio Vílchez's personal project of natural wines, located on the banks of the Alhama River, in Marchal, Granada (Spain). This small winery of just two hectares of vineyards has a production of 5,000 bottles. Its wines are the harmonious and fresh result, which comes from the earth to the bottle.
The Naranjuez vineyards
It cultivates its vines at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils without chemical products: it practices organic farming respecting the natural cycles. Thanks to its location, it benefits from a special microclimate, which helps to optimize grape ripening.Temperatures range between 13ºC minimum and 39-40ºC maximum. But being on the north face of the Sierra Nevada, the temperature differences are very wide, and can reach -20ºC in winter. In the vineyards of this winery, which belongs to the Association of Natural Wines, grapes are obtained naturally healthy, free of pesticides and without additives.
The wines of Naranjuez
Antonio Vílchez, the soul and spirit of this project, creates different wines of great quality. Each bottle receives an almost familiar treatment, something that can be appreciated in every sip.Among his most outstanding bottles we can find the Naranjuez Brutal Rosado 2019, a young, fruity and vibrant wine. The variety of its grapes are a blend between Garnacha, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo.
The wine is kept in a cave dug into the ground, something exceptional for the conservation of its temperature and humidity. By placing it there all year round, it manages to be constant without the need for modern technical means.
