Buy Wine from Amor Per La Terra
Amor per la Terra was born as a project of three wine lovers: Jaume Jordà, Xavi Rútia and Salvador Batlle, who, driven by this feeling, decided to realise the dream of having a winery to promote and dignify Catalan producers who respect the Empordà land to the maximum.
Their wines follow the philosophy of making natural wines using techniques and processes that converge with organic and biodynamic agriculture. The result is wines produced under two premises: loving the land and caring for the producers.
Let's talk about their history
The Amor per la Terra winery began as an idea that went beyond the limits of friendship between these three people. Jaume Jordà is a man who was only dedicated to the trade sector, but with an interest in producing wines that show respect for the land where he comes from.
On the other hand, Xavi Rútia, co-founder of Monocrom, was only dedicated to attending and managing a place in Barcelona where quality wines and gastronomy were marketed.
Salvador Batlle was the only one directly linked to this area, as he is the creator and producer of the Còsmic Celler winery, a project with great potential and a promising outlook.
These three adventurers were interested in making a dream come true and also in giving the relevant relevance and value to the producers in the area, and so they decided to start this project in 2019, becoming one of the wineries producing high quality wines.
The slogan of the production was focused on marketing "accessible, easy and good wines", resulting in this project with a great impact on the local market and even with international reach.
Techniques used
The Amor per La Terra winery ensures that its wines are produced using organic and biodynamic techniques and processes that avoid altering the taste or aroma of any of its wines.
The grapes are harvested by hand to guarantee the optimum ripeness of the grapes when they are harvested and then taken to the winery where they are subjected to a maceration process for a period of time that depends on the variety of grape used.
After that, it is fermented with indigenous yeasts and using stainless steel barrels, avoiding the addition of chemical elements that may alter its natural expression. Finally, the must is bottled without filtering or clarification.
The result is natural organic wines classified as the best Catalan wines in the country, which have even managed to cross borders thanks to the particular flavour of each one of them.
Vineyards
The vineyards of this winery are composed of a calcareous and clayey soil, with a phenotype very similar to sand, that even if seen from the heights, you will be able to notice similarities to a circle in the middle of a beach.
This type of soil is a determining factor in the flavour of the grapes and in the expression of the fruit, both in the fermentation phase and in the initial maceration.
The vineyards are classified as organic, and are treated using biodynamic techniques that integrate various natural elements, thus ensuring a balance in the soil where the vines are grown.
Natural and organic wines
The Amor per La Terra winery is fully in line with the intentions of those who run it, who from the beginning have expressed their interest in making natural and organic wines, which denote simplicity in their flavour and which are within the reach of any public.
