Description
Jouveaux Prety is a remarkable expression of Chardonnay from vines around 80 years old in Uchizy. This wine is an outstanding example of natural, non-interventionist winemaking. The winemaking of Prety is characterised by a respectful and artisanal approach, where Alexandre Jouveaux, a former fashion photographer turned winemaker, applies his artistic sensibility to the cultivation of the vines and the production of the wine.
Winemaking
The grapes used for Prety are 100% Chardonnay, sourced from a 0.54 hectare vineyard with a southern exposure. Production is limited, with only 1,250 bottles per year, which makes this wine quite exclusive. Jouveaux cultivates his vines, some of which are hundreds of years old, like a garden, following organic and biodynamic principles. In the winery, vinifications are natural, with minimal use of sulphur and ageing in 1,200 litre foudres.

Jouveaux Prety stands out for its intense minerality and a perfect balance between ripe fruit density and freshness. Its aromatic profile includes notes of floral water, green apples, wheat flour and a touch of smoke, with high floral tones.
