Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2024 Miguelito Jackson wears the subtitle 'Blan de Nuar' on the front label, a pun on 'blanc de noirs.' It was produced with mostly Baboso Negro grapes and some other varieties, red and white—Listán Negro, Verijadiego Negro, Listán Blanco and Verijadiego. The full clusters were pressed and the juice let to settle and put to ferment with indigenous yeasts, and the wine was kept with the fine lees for nine months. It has a copper color and a shy, serious and austere nose. It comes in at 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.64 and five grams of acidity. It has contained ripeness and a gentle, round and tender palate but is vibrant and with good depth. It was bottled unoaked in June 2025. 800 bottles produced.
