The expect to start bottling the 2024 Camins del Priorat in July 2025. The regional blend is produced with a slightly different blend, depending on the character of the year. In the cooler 2024, the blend is 40% Garnacha, 20% Cariñena, 20% Syrah (much higher in Syrah), 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot (lower in the Bordeaux varieties) and 5% of white grapes, Garnacha Blanca, Picapoll Blanc and Pedro Ximenez. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, oak and concrete, with 28 days of maceration, and matured in barriques and oak vats for four months. It has a deep purple color and a very balsamic and minty nose, with hints of resin and violets (the Syrah?). It's juicy and velvety, with finesse and drinkability, textured and fruit driven. It feels a little more oxidative, but with unbottled samples, it's always a bit difficult to tell. They expect around 175,000 bottles.

Description
Camins del Priorat is a red wine made from Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot by the Álvaro Palacios winery under the D.O.Q. Priorat in Gratallops, Catalonia. Priorat in Gratallops, Catalonia.
This wine is made from grapes coming from old vines that are between 11 and 40 years old on average in the Priorat region of Catalonia and come from 8 different municipalities.
These vineyards were planted on slate soils with a laminar structure, located vertically and obliquely at an altitude of 300 and 600 metres above sea level.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness. On arrival at the winery, the bunches are 100% destemmed and gently crushed to begin alcoholic fermentation. This fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts and in cement and wooden vats with the application of punch-downs.
The resulting wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in vats and is aged in French oak barrels and vats for four to six months, depending on the vintage.
