Description
Marzagana Pinarius wine is a real oenological jewel made in Tenerife, Canary Islands. This wine is produced with a blend of three grape varieties: Listán Negro, Tintilla and Negramoll.
Elaboration
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts for 21 days in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine is transferred to 200 year old tea barrels (Pinus Canariensis) where it is aged for 2 months. The winemaking process is completely natural, with no additives or sulphites added, and it is neither filtered nor clarified, which can lead to the presence of precipitates and turbidities typical of natural wines. Moreover, this wine follows biodynamic agriculture principles and is certified organic.
Taste
Marzagana Pinarius has a complex and balanced flavour profile. On the nose, aromas of fresh cherries and ripe red fruits stand out, with a spicy touch that adds depth. On the palate, it is a tannic wine with a long finish, making it an excellent choice for pairing with a variety of dishes. The ageing in tea barrels gives it a distinctive note of minerality and a slight hint of wood, further enriching its palette of flavours. This wine is an excellent example of Tenerife's oenological richness, combining traditional techniques with a sustainable and natural approach.
