In the heart of the Marco de Jerez, where time is measured in soleras and the silence of the bodegas speaks of centuries of tradition, Brandy Tradición Platinum is born. This brandy is an oenological rarity, made from the distillation of the best Jerez wines and aged for an average of 40 years in American oak casks. Its existence is the result of an unusual decision: to rescue old soleras of great purity, aged with patience and without concessions, as a tribute to the noblest identity of Brandy de Jerez.
Winemaking
The production of Brandy Tradición Platinum faithfully follows the traditional system of criaderas and soleras, the hallmark of authenticity in the region. The casks that contain it have previously held fortified wines, which adds an extra layer of complexity and aromatic richness. The ageing process lasts for decades, refining its structure, depth and balance. Brandy Tradición Platinum is bottled in very limited series - no more than 150 bottles a year - in hand-blown and hand-cut bottles in the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja, a symbol of Spain's artisanal heritage.
Flavour
On the nose, Brandy Tradición Platinum displays a range of deep and harmonious aromas: enveloped wood, bitter cocoa, candied orange, fine varnish, aged leather and toasted nuts. Each note is reminiscent of long, quiet, unhurried ageing. On the palate, the texture is silky, dense and enveloping. Its sweetness (28.5 g/l) is balanced by a firm acidity, and the alcohol (38%) is perfectly integrated, round and warm. The finish is very long, with spicy, saline echoes and a slight elegant bitterness that invites contemplation.
Brandy Tradición Platinum is not simply a brandy; it is the bottled memory of a land, a living legacy of the Marco de Jerez. Only suitable for patient and curious palates in search of the unrepeatable.
