Description
Belondrade y Lurton is the flagship wine of the Belondrade winery. This wine comes exclusively from the organic Quinta San Diego estate.
Winemaking
The grapes, 100% Verdejo, are harvested by hand from 23 different plots and fermented individually and spontaneously. They are then aged on their lees for 9 to 12 months in French oak barrels, with a final selection and blending before bottling. Average annual production is 100,000 bottles, with formats available including magnum, jeroboam and imperial. This wine is bottled and laid down for at least 5 months before release, and is designed to be consumed over the next 6 to 8 years.
Taste
Belondrade and Lurton has a flavour that stands out for its freshness and elegance. On the nose, it is harmonious and clean, with a remarkable integration of oak. On the palate, it is a balanced wine with restrained maturity. The finish is dry, clean and long, with a chalky texture that highlights its complexity and depth.
