Description
Lo Far Oest is a young red wine made from Grenache and Grenache Blanc grapes. Both varieties come from vineyards in the region of Catalonia, which have been treated under organic and biodynamic techniques and procedures, as they ensure that these fruits can express themselves without the addition of chemicals.
This winery's philosophy is to collaborate with the winegrowers who promote these practices, as those who manage this winery aim to support producers whose motto is to love the land and care for those who work it.
Elaboration
The production of Lo Far Oest wine begins with the cultivation of the fruit, ensuring the minimum intervention of the same and avoiding placing elements that may alter its flavours or aromas.
The harvesting phase is carried out by hand, as it is of vital importance to ensure that the fruit has reached an optimum level of ripeness when it is taken to the winery.
After that, the fruit is macerated for 48 hours and then fermented, using its own yeasts and stainless steel barrels. Finally, the wine is bottled, without undergoing filtration or fining.
Taste
Lo Far Oest is a very fragrant red wine with red fruits and floral notes. It is light and fresh on the palate, leaving a subtle lingering aftertaste.
