Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
There's increasing complexity in the wines, and the 2022 Victorino shows energy and power, natural freshness and acidity. It was selected from 35 hectares of older vines. The wine has a lot of floral nuances and notes of violets and ripe fruit without excess. It has a round and velvety palate with volume and ripe, elegant tannins. This matured in new barrels for 20 months, and the oak is neatly integrated and folded into the fruit. 45,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024.

Description
Victorino red wine is an authentic expression of Tinta de Toro, a 100% pure grape variety, coming from pre-phylloxera and ungrafted vitis vinifera vineyards. This wine is the result of an integrated and environmentally friendly viticulture, which avoids the use of herbicides and systemic products, in harmony with the biorhythms of nature.
Winemaking
The winemaking of Victorino follows a traditional method, with 100% destemming and crushing three times a day during fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. Ageing is extended for 20 months in new French oak barrels, which contributes to its complex and refined profile.
Taste
Victorino is deeply concentrated, with a palette ranging from ripe black fruit to notes of brandy, spice and a distinctive mineral touch. On the palate, it presents solid structure, power and expressiveness with a creaminess and a smooth finish thanks to polished tannins.
Marcos Eguren describes Victorino as a wine with character, identity and an elegant expression of Tinta de Toro, balancing freshness and complexity. This profile is achieved after 20 months of ageing in new French oak barrels, which in 2008 earned it recognition as the Best Red Wine of Northern Spain.
Victorino is, without a doubt, a wine that reflects dedication and respect for the land and tradition, offering a unique sensory experience for wine lovers.
