Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2023 Vibrations is an old Palomino macerated with the skins for five days, their mini-orange wine, and fermented and aged in 225-liter French oak barrels from 2013, where it was kept with full lees for 11 months. The vines, over 80 years of age in Miraflores Alta and La Platera, cannot be certified organic or biodynamic because they are the ones on the edge, closer to their neighbors, but that's the way they are worked. They pick these grapes a little later to have golden skins for the skin contact. This is a darker expression of spices, a little earthier and more rustic, with some tannic sensations and a little more volatility. It comes in at 13% alcohol, a full 2% more than in 2022, with a pH of 3.72 (much higher also) and 4.10 grams of acidity. Only 280 bottles were produced from one single barrel. It was bottled in July 2024.
