Les Crestes 2023 Magnum
£54.36 (Inc. VAT bot. 150 cl.) / North Ireland
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The red 2023 Les Crestes was produced with a blend of 80% Garnacha, 10% Cariñena and 10% Syrah from llicorella slate and clay and limestone soils. It fermented in stainless steel and matured in a combination of oak foudres, concrete eggs and used barriques for four to six months. It's fruit-driven, juicy and straightforward, medium to full-bodied with abundant, slightly dusty tannins. It has 15% alcohol and a juicy palate. Yields were low; they went down to 28,567 bottles, from the 50,000 the previous year. It was bottled in May 2024.
