Doix Murmuri 2024
£28.08 (Inc. VAT bot. 75 cl.) / North Ireland
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The very young white 2024 Murmuri was produced with 90% Garnacha Blanca and 10% Macabeo from Poboleda and La Morera de Montsant. It was pressed in a pneumatic press, then the juice fermented in stainless steel with neutral yeasts and without malolactic. Then it was kept with lees and had weekly bâtonnage for three months. It's far too young and undeveloped, with notes of balsam and a medicinal twist. It has a tender palate with some balsamic flavors and integrated acidity, more expressive than the nose. It has contained ripeness and 13% alcohol and comes through as fresh and balanced. Wait a bit. 2,956 bottles were produced in an extremely low-yielding year. It was bottled in February 2025.
