Their top of the range, the 2022 Nebro was produced with the Tinto Fino (and a little white Albillo) from a 1.2-hectare plot of old vines planted in 1920 in the village of Olmedillo at 850 meters above sea level on alluvial soils with a high percentage of limestone and clay, covered by sand. It fermented in raw concrete with indigenous yeasts and matured for three months in new barrels, where it underwent malolactic, and 12 months in a 1,200-liter Taransaud foudre. It's very exuberant, perfumed and showy, smelling of very expensive barrels, fine spices, toast and smoke and a core of ripe wild berries and herbs. The palate is textured, full-bodied and sleek, with very fine and elegant tannins. Powerful but balanced, it comes in at 14.45% alcohol, with a low pH of 3.34 and notable acidity, 6.68 grams. 1,295 bottles and 98 magnums produced. It was bottled in February 2025.
