The bright ruby-colored 2023 El Hombre Bala comes from eight hectares, six owned and the other two from one plot from a local grower. The wine is quite young and primary, fruit-driven and very clean. They picked part of the grapes early (22nd of August) to give it some freshness. Part of the wine fermented with full clusters, and they did lighter extractions and removed part of the skins before the fermentation finished. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol but feels fresh and balanced, with no signs of ripeness. It has juicy flavors, fine tannins and a very clean finish. 24,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2024 before the following harvest.
