Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A blend of Caíño, Loureiro and Espadeiro, the red 2016 Bastión de Luna was partly fermented and aged in a new oval oak foudre, with the rest in barrique and stainless steel. It's a very drinkable and spicy red with a medium-bodied palate and very good freshness, and it finishes with a peppery note. It has all the character of an Atlantic, cool-climate red, in the line marked by the 2015, perhaps a little rounder. 5,500 bottles produced.
