Viña Mein Eiras Altas 2017

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The austere and mineral 2017 Eiras Altas can be a summary of what the Comando G guys have done in five years working with the soils to obtain wines that express the length, the austerity, the minerality and salty sensation of the sandy granite soils, with electric acidity and great symmetry, definition, purity and persistence. This is not a showy wine; you need to swirl the glass to wake it up, and it develops very slowly. I tasted from the same bottle through one evening, and the wine developed very slowly. This is sharp as a knife. It should have a long life ahead of it. 4,500 bottles were filled in November 2018. This is a very serious white Ribeiro. Bravo!
