Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2018 Tinto Aventura is an unoaked equal blend of Aragonez and Touriga Nacional, with 20% of others in a field blend from Portalegre, coming in at 13.3% alcohol. Spicy, light and bright, this is most of all about the purity. Made in a summer red style, this is a fruity red, for Portalegre, that can be chilled a bit. It tastes great and goes down easy. Surprisingly, Susana predicts this can last 15 years. I'd be careful doing that, personally, but in any event, I don't think extended aging will bring many rewards. This runs around 10 euros in Portugal. It's a nice deal.
Aventura Tinto wine is a creation of Susana Esteban, a winemaker renowned for her passion and dedication in making high quality wines. This particular wine comes from the Alentejo region, one of Portugal's most prestigious wine regions.
Aventura Tinto is mainly composed of Aragonêz and Touriga Nacional varieties. The grapes are harvested by hand, selecting the best berries in the cellar. Fermentation is carried out in small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, guaranteeing the preservation of the grapes' authentic aromas and flavours.
The wine is fresh, fruity and elegant, with a lovely floral touch. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, presenting a perfect balance between fruit and vibrant freshness. It is also elegant and polished, with good ageing potential. It is ideal with meat dishes, especially grilled meats.
