Llopart Llegat Familiar Brut Nature 2011
£162.89 (Inc. VAT bot. 75 cl.) / North Ireland
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2011 Llegat Familiar was produced with grapes from a Xarel.lo vineyard, La Viña de Paulino, planted in 1935. 2011 was a warm vintage but with good rain. The grapes were hand harvested, and the free-run juice was left to ferment in stainless steel and was refermented in bottle. This was disgorged after more than 13 years in bottle with the lees. It's serious, clean and balanced. It has 11.3% alcohol and a pH of 3.02, quite extraordinary. It is truly exceptional, elegant, fresh and nuanced, very complex and harmonious. Only 1,332 bottles were produced. It was disgorged in October 2024.
