Description
Le Petit Oratoire Sacha stems from this approach to wine, which is not about technical perfection but about life itself. In Valliguières, in the Gard, Lori Haon restored an abandoned estate, transforming it into a place where wines are free, direct and deeply connected to the landscape. Her work in organic and biodynamic viticulture, certified by Demeter, is not a response to a trend or a marketing ploy, but stems from an almost stubborn conviction: that the vineyard, when truly listened to, speaks more clearly than any intervention in the winery. Le Petit Oratoire Sacha fits perfectly into this philosophy. It is an orangewine, luminous and uninhibited, made for immediate pleasure, yet with enough authenticity behind it to be more than just an easy-drinking wine.
Production
In Le Petit Oratoire Sacha, the wine’s base is as original as it is precise. Clairette and Roussanne are macerated for 11 days, lending that characteristic dimension of a light, fragrant and richly textured orange wine. Added to this core is the direct pressing of Garnacha and Cinsault, which lightens the whole, makes it juicier and gives it an almost crisp freshness. The result does not seek power or extraction, but rather fluidity, aroma and a lively texture. The natural winemaking process, with minimal sulphur addition, follows a philosophy of minimal intervention that allows the wine to develop freely. With 10.5% alcohol, everything is designed to preserve the wine’s most drinkable, freshest and most spontaneous qualities.
Flavour
In the glass, Le Petit Oratoire Sacha possesses that immediate charm of well-measured macerations – those that do not weigh the wine down, but rather let it soar. Notes of ripe citrus, white-fleshed fruit, exotic hints and an open, expressive, highly appealing aromatic profile emerge. The maceration lends a slight grip, a hint of fruit-skin tension, yet this is always enveloped in a disarming juiciness. On the palate, it is fresh, thirst-quenching, almost irresistible, with a light pulse and an energy that propels it towards a flavourful, dry and fragrant finish. A friendly, easy-going orange wine, full of joy – the sort that makes an aperitif an absolute must.
