Description
The Bota de Malt Whisky 88 "Overseas" comes entirely from malted barley that was distilled in a prestigious Scottish distillery (hence the mention "overseas"). It is aged for around twelve years, of which the last seven have been spent in a single cask that previously belonged to a sherry solera of old dry oloroso of excellent quality. We have chosen for this saca a single butt that shows tremendous character and complexity. It has a very Scottish smoky touch that is very well balanced with the intense influence of the old oxidative sherry cask.
This is an unrepeatable spirit, since the cask from which it comes has been entirely emptied for this saca. It has not been cold filtered and, following an unbreakable rule for Equipo Navazos, it has no aromatic additives, neither of sweetness or color nor of any other kind.
