This is a young white wine aged 3 months in French oak barrels from vineyards with an average age of 45 years, planted in poor clay-limestone soils.
These soils are located at 450-550 meters above sea level and it is an ideal soil for the grapes to be exquisite.
These are old vines cultivated under strict care with a limited yield, from which very small berries of excellent quality are obtained. The grapes are harvested by hand when they reach their optimum ripeness.
The Izadi Blanco grapes are destemmed and gently pressed in the winery. The must is then separated in stainless steel tanks and the rest is placed in new barrels for temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation. Before bottling, the wine is filtered and clarified.
It is a young, fresh and aromatic white wine made from a group of old vines of white varieties of the D.O. Ca. Rioja. Its fragrance envelops you in the scent of fresh, white and citrus fruits.
In the mouth it is fresh, with a balanced acidity and a pleasant sweetness.
A sumptuous and well-structured wine
Izadi Blanco Fermentado en Barrica is produced by Bodegas Izadi in the Rioja Alavesa area (D.O. Ca. Rioja). It is a wine with the sumptuousness of a barrel fermented white wine, well structured and with the right acidity.
