Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
As I commented in the note for the Celia, the 2022 Inés is more voluptuous and showier than its sibling—it's creamy, toasty, smoky and spicy, It fermented in 50% open-top 400-liter barrel and 50% concrete vats and matured in 400-liter French and American (10%) oak barrels for 16 months and a further three months in a 2,000-liter oak vat. It hits the scale at 15% alcohol, but perhaps the small percentage of white grapes (3% Albillo from the same vineyard as the Tinto Fino) gave it an extra spark of freshness. It has some tannins that would welcome some more time in bottle, and the oak should also integrate further with bottle age. 2,000 bottles and 60 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2024.

Description
Inés Vizcarra is a ripe red wine from Ribera del Duero D.O. made mainly with Tempranillo and complemented with Merlot by Bodegas Vizcarra.
The grapes come from a Tempranillo vineyard that is over 60 years old and grapes that come from a Merlot vineyard with an average age of 21 years planted in goblet and trellis.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the winery in 15 kg containers, where they are selected on the table and destemmed prior to fermentation for twenty-five days in new 400-litre open barrels, with three daily punch-downs at a temperature of 27 °C to extract as much of the grapes as possible.
Malolactic fermentation takes place in American oak barrels. Finally, the wine is aged for 16 to 18 months in French and American oak barrels.
Taste
Inés Vizcarra is a red wine with intense, persistent aromas, a good amount of fruit and spicy notes.
In the mouth it is fresh, with a sweet and enveloping palate, ripe tannins, a refreshing acidity and a very long and persistent finish.
A concentrated and structured wine.
Inés Vizcarra is a star wine made from old vines, the most valuable ones, grown in the heart of the Ribera, a great red wine from Ribera del Duero!
This red wine named after a woman owes its name to the second daughter of Juan Carlos Vizcarra, founder of Bodegas Vizcarra, a passionate wine lover who decided to follow in his family's footsteps.
In the gastronomic field, this wine is especially recommended for dinners with friends or as a gift and as an accompaniment to grilled red meats, cured cheeses, roast lamb, Iberian ham, game and roast pork.
And you, have you tried this impressive wine yet? You will fall in love with it once you taste it!
