Between 10ºC and 12ºC
Fermented with indigenous yeasts and kept in contact with skins for one year. Aged on lees in oak barrels.
This single varietal is one of the best worked products of the Honorio Rubio winery, located in La Rioja. This winery is located in Cordovín, 30 kilometers from Logroño and its 15 hectares of vineyards are focused on producing three types of grapes: Garnacha, Macabeo and Tempranillo.
For this particular variant, the macabea or viura grape has been used, resulting in a wine with a very special flavor.
The first step is the harvesting process and then the extraction of the must. However, unlike other white wines, this variety undergoes a year-long maceration process on skins. Subsequently, the wine is aged in oak barrels on lees until the aging period is completed.
Fermentation takes place spontaneously and indigenous yeasts are used. The result is a white wine with tannic accents and a fragrant style.
Honorio Rubio Macerado has citrus notes. It is a dry, powerful wine with oily nuances.
Ideal for the most demanding palates
The distinctive characteristic of this white wine is given by the fermentation of the skins, which gives it its characteristic orange tone. It is the perfect proposal for those consumers who want to try something unusual, but at the same time bet on a structured and complex flavor. Ideal to accompany stews, stews and creamy cheeses, such as brie or camembert.
What are you waiting for to try it? It will be a unique experience.
