Description
El Perro Verde is a young white wine produced in the Rueda D.O. by the Uvas Felices winery in collaboration with Ángel Lorenzo Cachazo and his son Javier. This wine is a single varietal Verdejo from vineyards located in Rodillana, Bobadilla del Campo and "El Sotillo" in the province of Valladolid.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested in September, and after destemming and crushing, a twelve-hour maceration at 10ºC is carried out. Subsequently, the must ferments at 18ºC in stainless steel tanks.
Taste
Perro Verde has a pale straw yellow colour, clean and bright. On the nose, it displays a complex aromatic range characteristic of Verdejo, with notes of hay, ripe fruit, aniseed, white flowers, peach, freshly cut grass and fennel. On the palate, it is glyceric and well-structured, with an elegant and slightly bitter finish, typical of this variety. This wine combines volume and freshness, offering a vigorous and concentrated taste experience, with a medium body that leaves a long-lasting and refreshing sensation.
In short, El Perro Verde is a wine that stands out for its freshness and liveliness, ideal for pairing with sushi, pasta, seafood, white fish, rice dishes, appetizers and white meats.
