Description
Dario Prinčič Bianco Trebez wine comes from the Oslavia region in Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is a traditional Collio blend that combines three grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio. These grapes are selected and harvested by hand only when they reach optimum ripeness.
Winemaking
The vineyard where these grapes come from has an extension of 10 hectares and is located in soils composed of marl and sandstone. The vines have an average age of 35 years and are grown organically.
The production of this wine is a testimony to the mastery of the skin maceration technique. While fermenting spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in open vats, the Pinot Grigio macerates with its skins for just one week, while the other grapes macerate for 18 days. The varieties are then blended and aged in oak barrels for at least 3 years. There is no fining, no filtration and no SO2 is added.
