Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The regional red 2023 La Bruja is now 100% from Cebreros, no more from Madrid; so, they produced fewer bottles, and there will be even less in 2024 (20,000 bottles). It's like a meatier, juicier version of the 2021 and is less reductive but still stony and fine-boned. It has good ripeness and development of aromas and flavors and is floral, clean, red fruited and herbal, with 14% alcohol and very good freshness and acidity, coming through as balanced and elegant. 40,943 bottles and 500 magnums produced. It was bottled in August 2024.

Description
Comando G La Bruja is a single varietal Garnacha wine made in Madrid by the young winery Comando G, known for its focus on producing wines from old Grenache vines. This wine is distinguished by its balanced and fresh character, with an alcohol content of 14.5%.
Winemaking
The winemaking of Comando G La Bruja follows the principles of biodynamics, fully respecting the natural environment. Each vineyard is fermented separately using indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 7 months in 500 litre French oak vats, giving complexity and structure to the wine.
Taste
Comando G La Bruja offers a unique taste experience. Its flavour is juicy and aromatic, very representative of the Comando G style. On the palate, it is a medium-bodied wine with a sapid finish, maintaining restrained ripeness and a fine granularity of granite. It is an accessible, expressive and open wine, with a fruit profile reminiscent of the Morgon style. Critics have highlighted its good ripeness and the reduction of maceration to better adapt to the characteristics of the vintage, which gives it a more friendly and easy to enjoy character.
In short, Comando G La Bruja is a wine that faithfully reflects the identity and landscape of the most extreme vineyards of the Sierra de Gredos, standing out for its balance, freshness and distinctive character. An excellent choice to accompany cold meats, mushrooms, soft cheeses, red meats and rice dishes, served at a temperature of 16ºC to fully enjoy its nuances.
