Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2022 Branco de Santa Cruz is the village white from Santa Cruz, produced from different traditional head-pruned vineyards, a majority of Godello with some Doña Blanca, Treixadura, Palomino and other grapes. It fermented and matured in barrels and foudres for 10 months. It has good ripeness, 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.45 and five grams of acidity, good parameters for a very warm and dry year. It's slightly more Mediterranean, with notes of hay and straw, and has a tender palate and good balance, keeping the poise. 7,602 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024.
