Description
The red wine Álvaro Castro Outeiro is a blend of native Portuguese varieties, composed of Tinta Roriz and Jaen in 70% and Touriga-Nacional and Alfrocheiro in 30%. This wine is made by the renowned winemaker Álvaro Castro, considered one of the best winemakers in the region.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 8 months in Allier oak barrels before bottling.
Taste
Álvaro Castro Outeiro is characterised by an initial meaty note on the nose. However, with time and aeration, it acquires a sweet and fruity character. It is an elegant and youthful wine, with an honest and clear taste. All its components are perfectly integrated, offering an exquisite balance on the palate.
