Buy Wine from Vouette Sorbée
The Vouette & Sorbée winery is located in Buxières-sur-Arce, in the Aube region of the Cote des Bar (France). This is an estate that produces champagne according to biodynamic principles and was certified in Organic Farming and Demeter by Ecocert in 1998.
Vouette & Sorbée Vineyards
Vouette et Sorbée does not refer to the names of the partners or family members, but to the names of the 2 main vineyards: Vouette, located on the Kimmeridgian limestone, a bedrock that extends all the way to Chablis; and Sorbée, cultivated on Portlandien soil (grey limestone).
The owners are Bertrand and Hélène Gautherot, who practise a demanding viticulture under the principles of biodynamics on the 5 hectares of vineyard. The project began with Bertrand in 1993, who set out to work the family's old vineyards and converted them to biodynamic cultivation in 1998. Bertrand has worked in the vineyard since he was a child, but his training and professional career led him to graduate in chemical engineering and work in the cosmetics sector for a short period of time. In 1993 he returned to the vineyard for good, and three years later he decided to stop using chemical products in his vineyard.
Vouette & Sorbée wines
Vouette & Sorbé produces champagne in an artisanal and natural way, without filtering and without any expedition liqueur. Among its sparkling wines, we highlight the Chardonnay Vouette & Sorbée Blanc d'Argile Brut Nature, and the Pinot Noir Vouette & Sorbée Saignée de Sorbée and Vouette & Sorbée Fidèle.
