Ratpenat 2021
£23.75 (Inc. VAT bot. 75 cl.) / North Ireland
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The bouquet of the 2021 Ratpenat screams Macabeo as soon as you put your nose in the glass. It's a little different because it comes from schist soils, not the usual limestone, which give a strong minerality to the finish. It's tasty and vibrant, within the profile of precision and purity of all the wines here, still quite low in alcohol, 10.5% alcohol, and with a very low pH, 3.07, and the vibrato from 2021. 4,506 bottles were filled in July 2022.
