There was a meaty character in the 2022 Petit Hipperia in this very warm and dry year, a lighter version of its sibling Hipperia, from the same varieties and vineyards. This year, the blend is 39% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 14% Petit Verdot, 11% Syrah and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon matured in third-use French oak barrels for one year. It's ripe, with 14.5% alcohol and good acidity and freshness, coming through as juicy and balanced, with integrated oak. It has berries, herbs and spices and a medium to full-bodied palate with a velvety texture and fine tannins. It was bottled in February 2024.
