Description
The Peternell Risque Blanc wine is a palpable demonstration of the passion and art of winemaking. This wine, coming from Austria, specifically from the region of Niederösterreich, Carnuntum, Neusiedl am See, is a balanced blend of Riesling and Welschriesling, with vines of 50 and 40 years old respectively, representing 50% of each variety.
Winemaking
Peternell Risque Blanc is vinified without destemming, with a three-day skin maceration, alcoholic co-fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 12 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks, which gives it a unique structure and complexity.
Taste
Peternell Risque Blanc presents itself as a clear orange wine in the glass, offering a wonderful symbiosis of green and ripe aromas. It is light bodied, with high acidity and a medium finish. It is cloudy and funky in appearance, with notes of apple, pear, citrus and orange zest on the palate. Alcohol content is 11%, with a sulphur content of less than 7 mg/l and residual sugar of less than 1 g/l.
