The 2017 Alalá is the fifth vintage of their original wine from a 0.29-hectare vineyard in the village of Barrantes that was later complemented by other vineyards they also work in Barro and Sanxenxo, villages of the Salnés Valley. Most of the bunches were foot trodden, separating the vineyards close to the sea and the inland ones. It fermented in stainless steel and two used 300-liter oak barrels. It was kept for some 10 months more in vat after the fermentation finished, and the bottles are kept for a further two years until they are released. They don't want to release the wine when it starts developing those tertiary aromas, because it loses the more obvious fruit aromas and gains more complexity. This is not an entry-level wine; from the beginning, it was a single-vineyard wine from the family vineyard and their most important wine. It remained like that until 2017; the entry level comes later. This is surprisingly fresh for a warm vintage like 2017. The summer was very warm and dry, and the malic acid remained quite high. The nose has layers of aromas, quite complex, subtle and elegant, clean, and the palate has pungent flavors and vibrant acidity. It's tasty and long, with a faint bitter twist, and it finishes with a salty touch. This could be a modern version of 2015. Their wines are destined for the table. 8,040 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2018.

Cold skin maceration for 28 hours. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 12 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks.
