Massuria 2009
£26.57 (Inc. VAT bot. 75 cl.) / North Ireland
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2009 Massuria, produced from 60-year-old Mencia grape vines, had a shorter maceration aiming for light extraction. It shows an unusual profile of fresher red fruits for such a warm and challenging vintage. They surely harvested early here. The wine is compact and solid, with a core of dark cherries framed by clean oak, in need of a couple of years in bottle. Drink 2015-2020.
