Verdejo 2021 is a wine produced by the Marqués de Riscal winery and is made entirely from the grapes of the grape variety to which it owes its name. It belongs to the D. O. Rueda, where it has become one of the best exponents of this appellation.
For this single varietal wine, only Vitis vinifera grapes from certified organic vineyards were used as raw material, so if you are looking for an alternative that is not only delicious but also environmentally responsible, this is your best alternative.
The first step is the harvest, which, as with all the winery's products, is carried out by hand, selecting only the best fruit from the vine. Once the must is extracted, it undergoes a process of alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
When this part of the process is completed, the wine undergoes a period of ageing, which includes fine lees and lasts for approximately two months. At this point, a weekly batonage with nitrogen is also carried out in order to better integrate its aromas.
On the nose, notes of aromatic herbs and aniseed are perceived. In the mouth, it leaves an unctuous, fresh and pleasant sensation, typical of the Verdejo variety. The finish is long, balanced and exuberant.
A delicious vegan alternative
Marqués de Riscal Verdejo white wine is not only produced in a completely organic way. It is also the ideal alternative if you follow a completely vegan diet, as it does not contain any animal-based ingredients as is the case with other commercial brands.
Enjoy a glass of white wine with an exceptional taste and free of remorse. Would you like to try it?
