The 2023 Manda Huevos Blanco Carramainas was produced with old-vine Macabeo and a 5% dash of Garnacha Blanca from their Carramainas vineyard. 2023 was better for whites than for reds; it was a strange climatic year when they harvested some whites after the reds! The whole bunches were pressed, the juice let to settle and put to ferment in used 500-liter French oak barrels where it was kept with the full lees for three months and then racked and kept in the same barrels for 15 months. 2023 is a year of lower alcohol—this has 12.8% alcohol, with a pH of 3.33 and 6.7 grams of acidity. It has contained ripeness and very good acidity, freshness and balance, meaning a medium-bodied palate and a vibrant sensation. The aromatics are clean and fresh too. 3,160 bottles were filled in June 2025.
