Description
Hacienda López de Haro Rosado is a balanced, sweet and fresh wine made from Viura and Garnacha grapes. The grapes come from old vineyards of low production located in the Alto Najerilla area, mainly on clay-ferrous soils .
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand throughout the month of October. The grapes are macerated for 24 to 48 hours at a low temperature of around 10ºC. The grapes are then bled and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the must is bled from the tank, extracting a bright pink must that ferments at a temperature of between 10 and 12ºC for about 20 days.
Taste
Hacienda López de Haro Rosado has a pale, clean pink colour, with coppery hues and light greyish tones on the rim. In the nose, it is intense, with aromas of red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries, together with floral and citrus notes and a background of orange peel. In the mouth, it is harmonious and enveloping, with an abundant entry and a lot of fruity intensity. Notes of red fruits are perceived, with a balanced acidity and a medium sweetness. The wine is very fresh, with a short but persistent finish, making it ideal to enjoy especially during the months of good weather.
