Jorge Ordóñez Victoria nº 2 2024 - 37,5 cl.
£21.52 (Inc. VAT bot. 37,5 cl.) / North Ireland
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The very young sweet Moscatel 2024 Victoria #2 has a pale yellow color and a complex and nuanced nose, even if young. It comes from old vines on slate soils, dried in the shadow inside the winery to achieve further concentration, and the wines have natural alcohol. This fermented in stainless steel, and the fermentation was stopped by cooling it when it achieved 11% alcohol. It was kept with lees for around 10 months, longer than in the past. It comes in at 11% alcohol, with a pH of 3.20, 7.3 grams of acidity and 200 grams of sugar. This is their flagship sweet wine and the largest production. It's dense and oily, expressive and characterful, very balanced, with more of everything, including concentration, persistence and length, quite sweet and getting closer to the number three. This comes in 375-centiliter bottles. 25,000 bottles were filled in June 2025.
