Description
The only unoaked red wine of the Goyo García Viadero winery is the Joven Viñas Viejas wine. Goyo García is a winegrower who comes from a family of winegrowers, who have more than 100 years of experience in this field and who have dedicated all their efforts to recovering old vineyards and working with traditional methods.
Respect for the land and avoiding the excessive use of wood or chemicals has allowed him to create natural wines with aromas and flavours that are difficult to find nowadays, such as Goyo García Joven Viñas Viejas.
Winemaking
Goyo García Joven Viñas Viejas is a single varietal wine, made only with Tempranillo grapes, which are harvested by hand, then destemmed and fermented with wild yeasts in steel tanks. Afterwards, they are macerated for three months and the wine is aged entirely in tanks before being bottled without filtering or fining. No sulphites are added.
Taste
The dry red wine Goyo García Joven Viñas Viejas has a red fruit flavour, with notes of leather and smoke. This wine is terroir-driven and has a strong acidity. It has a medium-high robe and leaves a slightly metallic taste in the mouth.
It is a wine that dazzles in the mouth and feels round with good intensity, leaving balsamic and mineral notes.
