Description
The Frontio winery is located in Fermoselle, Spain, where Danish winegrower Thyge Benned, better known as Chus, produces some of the best natural wines in the area, such as Frontio Corneo.
Chus decided to found this winery in 2016, after leaving the life he had in Copenhagen, and it was undoubtedly a wise decision because dedicating himself to what he is passionate about has made him one of the most renowned wine producers.
Winemaking
Frontio Corneo rosé wine is a multi-varietal wine made from the indigenous grape varieties Tempranillo and Doña Blanca, which are grown in complex soils with granite, gravel and quartz. While the Tempranillo grapes are directly pressed, the Doña Blanca grapes are cold macerated for a week, then decanted for 48 hours in stainless steel tanks.
They are then fermented separately with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels and finally the wine is aged for one month in oak barrels.
For distribution, the wine is bottled without filtering or fining, nor are sulphites added.
Taste
This organic wine is calm and crisp, with notes of red fruits of the forest, it also has a certain floral aroma with herbal touches. It is an easy to drink rosé wine.
