Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 4 months in 800 liter clay amphorae.
Exedra Blanc is an organic white wine made from Garnacha Blanca grapes by the Bodegas Puiggròs winery in the Pla del Bages DO in Catalonia, Spain.
The grapes used to make this wine come from vineyards located 650 metres above sea level and planted on calcareous, mineral and gypsiferous soils.
The vineyards are cultivated according to organic farming principles and without pesticides, herbicides or any other chemical products that could damage the natural balance of the terroir.
The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in 10 kg crates. In the winery, after the grapes are pressed, the resulting must undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in earthenware amphorae and stainless steel tanks for approximately 10 months.
The wine is aged for four months in 800-litre clay amphorae. Finally, the wine is bottled unfiltered.
Exedra Blanc is a creamy white wine with a versatile fruity expression combined with notes of fresh herbs. The palate is elegant and mineral. It is very easy to drink and enjoy, with good acidity and a smooth mouthfeel.
