Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2023 Dominio de Anza Finca El Rapolao was produced with grapes from a centenary plot on red clay soils at 540 meters above sea level. The grapes were picked in three passes and fermented separately in bins, with a variable percentage of full clusters and with indigenous yeasts. The juice also matured separately in 500-liter barrels for 12 months. It comes in at 12.8% alcohol, with a pH of 3.4 and 5.4 grams of acidity. He makes one of the most elegant wines from El Rapolao, one that's fine-boned, perfumed and floral, with fine-grained tannins. 2,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2024.
