The 2023 Condrieu Coteaux du Vernon, vinified in the same way as Les Chaillées de l’Enfer, reveals a more solar yet equally refined profile. It opens with aromas of pear, baked peach, jasmine and sweet spices, complemented by a touch of exotic fruit. Full-bodied, dense and enveloping, it’s built around a powerful, concentrated and fleshy core of fruit, underpinned by a subtle mineral thread. Crystalline and layered, it displays impressive depth and length, concluding with a magnificent, structuring bitterness. This is a superb and complete expression of Vernon.
